About the Teacher
Hi! I am the Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher at Paradise Canyon Elementary School in La Canada. Working with students that have learning differences has always been my passion, and I am on a constant learning quest to find the most effective tools and teaching strategies to help each student unlock his/her potential to be successful in school.
I have degrees in Special Education and in Child Development from California State University, Northridge, a Master's degree in Learning Handicapped from Cal State University, Northridge, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. I hold teaching credentials in regular and special education, credential authorizations to teach English Learners and students with Autism, a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) credential, and a preliminary administrative services credential.
When not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. We like to go to the beach, try new restaurants, go to the movies, go to concerts, and explore so many activities Los Angeles has to offer! My hobbies include traveling, reading, hiking, learning anything related to technology, watching independent films, listening to music, dancing, doing yoga, and spending time with friends.
